Saltwater Spas:
They're the hottest technology in Hot Tubs to come along in years!
And they will make the itchy skin, dry hair and bleached bathing suits of old-fashioned chlorine spa’s a thing of the past.
First introduced in Australia in the 1960s, saltwater pools have been catching on in America, Canada and Europe in the last few years to become the fastest-growing technology in new pool installation. Converts say that once you've tried it, you can never go back.
Saltwater spas require a Chlorine Generator to create small amounts of chlorine for sanitation. They do this through electrolysis of the salt in the water only as needed. Though the water is salty, it's actually nothing like swimming in the ocean. The salt concentration is less salty than tears (you usually can't even taste the salt) but the soft, luxurious feel of the water, not to mention freedom from the burning feeling of too much chlorine, is immediately noticeable.
Actually there are so much fewer chemicals in the water, you will find your spa crystal clear. And of course it has to be better for you - not being submerged in a soup of chemicals.
Pools and spas with chlorine generators make your skin feel good
There are several reasons Saltwater Pools are good for Your Skin:
- The salt has a softening effect on the water
- The saline does not damage your skin or hair link the other harsh chemicals
- Some consider salt water to have healining properties for the skin
- Only salt and small amounts pure chlorine are added to the water - there's nothing else in there to make you ich or dry out your skin!
Just as some home water softeners do, a saltwater hot tub makes the bather feel very soft and silky. You hair isn't damaged and your skin is revitalized.
Isn’t that what we all enjoy about taking a bath?
